The anticipation surrounding Prabhas’ upcoming venture, ‘Salaar,’ escalated further after the recent trailer launch, generating immense excitement among fans eagerly awaiting its release. However, speculations and fan theories about a potential cameo by KGF star Yash in the film have been quashed by the movie’s producer, Vijay Kiragandur.
Addressing the rumors in an interview with India Today, Kiragandur clarified, “I think Prashanth has clarified already that there is no link [between KGF and Salaar]. There’s no cameo in the movie. So that is not true.”
Previously, child singer Theertha Subhash mistakenly mentioned Yash’s appearance in ‘Salaar’ during a media interaction. Later, she clarified her mistake on Instagram, expressing that her assumption stemmed from her father’s mention of Salar’s music and connections to the KGF team. Her parents also issued a statement, explaining that the recording for ‘Salaar’ took place in Mangalore, leading to a misunderstanding due to the presence of individuals associated with KGF during the session.
Set to grace theaters on December 22, ‘Salaar’ has undergone certification by the Central Board of Certification (CBFC), obtaining an ‘A’ certificate. The action-packed film boasts a runtime of 2 hours and 55 minutes and features an ensemble cast, including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu. With the clarification about Yash’s absence in the movie, the focus remains on the highly anticipated release of ‘Salaar.’
